  • Achieved international recognition with the publication of Productive Safety Management and Safety Leadership and Professional Development, Chapter 29 Risk Leadership: A Multidisciplinary Approach.
  • Project managed Gorgon Upstream HSEQRA management system sharepoint and the construction management system from concept to rollout in 9 months concurrent with delivering ‘Productive Safety Management’ risk leadership training to Project Managers.
  • Contractor management system implementation for construction and other projects, including contractor auditing for compliance and continuous improvement; value adding along the contractual chain.
  • Delivered HSE management systems for Gorgon contractors on time and to required budget, concurrently with Chevron culture model.
  • Developed and implemented decentralized HSE management systems that took mining exploration teams from ‘Vulnerable’ to ‘Proactive’ on an accelerated journey.
  • HSE management systems development/resurrection to achieve ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 consistently maintained without non-conformances
  • Embedded effective operational risk assessment processes to ensure sound planning of projects including logistics, stakeholder management, interface management and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptionally positive feedback from delegates at International and National Conferences.

Major Career Achievements

  • Developed and implemented the Global Biosecurity Management System for GE Oil and Gas compliant to Australian regulatory requirements, Chevron’s Gorgon Project and other Major Australian Projects environmental obligations.
  • Embedded a Biosecurity Culture in GE Oil and Gas in numerous overseas facilities throughout Europe and Asia.
  • Developed and implemented the Gorgon Upstream Quarantine Management System and achieved zero major non-conformances during tenure.
  • Achieved recognition as a National Committee Member for the Australian Interstate Certification Assurance Program from 2000 to 2008 whilst working for Quarantine WA.
  • Rose through the ranks at Quarantine WA to become WA Technical Services Manager reporting to the Director.
  • Developed and implemented a Biosecurity Management Plan which was acknowledged by the Australian Department of Agriculture as best practice.
  • Recognised as a global leader in Biosecurity Management and regulatory compliance in the oil and gas industry.
